Wayside Landscape Services Wins State and National Awards
Wayside Landscape Services has received three national safety awards from the Professional Landcare Network's (PLANET) annual Safety Recognition Awards Program, sponsored by CNA. Companies that enter PLANET's Safety Recognition Awards Program are required to submit a copy of their OSHA 300A Summary of Work-Related Injuries and Illnesses report and their year-end vehicle insurance claims summary report. These reports are used in determining award recipients. PLANET has more than 4,200 member companies and affiliates; these firms and their employees represent more than 100,000 green industry professionals.
During the past 15 years, Wayside has submitted 10 different Design/Build projects for award consideration at both the state and national levels. These projects have won a total of 12 awards: 1 national Grand Award, 7 state Grand Awards, 3 state Merit Awards, and 1 national Distinction Award. Winning so many awards of this stature in the difficult and prestigious Design/Build category demonstrates that Wayside is a professional company that is at once highly capable, organized, and creative. Wayside's Andy White Receives NCNLA Oakland Award
Andy White, President of Wayside Landscape Services, Inc., Asheville, NC received the 2009 Oakland Award at the North Carolina Nursery and Landscape Association’s (NCNLA) annual Green and Growin’ convention in Greensboro, NC on January 15, 2010. This prestigious award has been presented annually since 1978 to individuals in recognition of a lifetime of outstanding contributions and service to the landscape industry. Candidates and winners are selected by the current and past two presidents of NCNLA.
